YOU'RE INVITED!

All greyhounds and their people and dog friends are invited for a day of fun. The purpose is simple -- to have fun and get acquainted with other greyhounds & their Moms and Dads. This is a non group affiliated event, so we leave our group t-shirts behind and just celebrate our common love for greyhounds.

You know your greyhound wants to come, so get your party on and let's have a great time!

WHAT TO BRING?

Perhaps an ex-pen & blankets & water dish so your dog can relax after running. Chairs and/or blankets for you. Some cash for our great all-American lunch (includes drink), raffle prizes, and anything you may want to pick up at the vendor tables.

LET'S BE SAFE:

All dogs must be kept on a
  leash, except in play field.
Bring an ex-pen for your grey if
  you'll be staying awhile.
If weather is hot, shade is
  provided courtesy of the trees.
Water is provided for the dogs.

GREYHOUND PLAY DAY 2010 A BIG SUCCESS!

A Huge Thank You to everyone who came out for our intra-group greyhound picnic! It just gets better every year thanks to our fabulous greyhound adopters who join in the festivities, our vendors and raffle prize donors, our volunteers and our fabulous lunch provider Nabih who has been with us for 9 years (and counting!). Pat yourselves on the back for supporting greyhound rescue.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

	FUN Simple get-acquainted games to play with your hounds. Egg & Spoon race, Find Your Twin and Bobbing for Hot Dogs have been past-year favorites.
	FOOD Lunch for humans will be an All-American Fare: hamburger, hot dog or veggie burger with side dishes, a cookie and drink. An all-vegetarian lunch plate is available. For a lunch plate, we are requesting a donation of $8.50 to help defray costs. There will also be snacks for the dogs.
	FIELD PLAY The adjacent grassy ball field will be used as a supervised greyhound only play area. Up to 6 'hounds at a time can run & frolick to their heart's content. Greys are muzzled for safety (muzzles provided). Field Play sponsored by Pet Owners Organization of Citrus Heights (POOCH).
	COOL POOLS After your houndie runs to his heart's content, he can cool down in a cool wading pool. These pools are much sought-after, so make your reservation now!
	VENDORS Shop for greyhound or dog-related items
	RAFFLE PRIZES Purchase raffle tickets to help pay for next year's event.
